Jarrod Champion is a self-taught pianist, vocalist, organist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter/composer, producer and recording engineer.  Born in a suburb east of Detroit, Michigan, he's the son of two working class parents, both trained pianists. 

Originally based in rock and roll, Jarrod eventually spread out into the prominent jazz, blues, funk, soul and traditional country/folk circuits found in and around Detroit.  He has since become fluent in genres across the board, working with artists in the realm of the aforementioned as well as pop, hip-hop, and various forms of electronic music.
